M1_Actividad4

Opción elegida (a - f): d) Presentación de información y procesamiento de datos: Hoja de cálculo.

Materia que imparte: Matemáticas I-IV.

Tema de la actividad: Graficación de polinomios de grado 2 usando una hoja de cálculo.






Habilidad avanzada elegida de acuerdo con el Modelo de madurez: Cc2.1 Uso de la hoja de cálculo para registrar datos, elaborar tablas, crear fórmulas para relacionar los datos y representar resultados mediante una gráfica utilizando las opciones que ofrece la herramienta (tipos de gráficas).

Descripción de la actividad (cuidando que quede claro cómo se logrará el desarrollo de la habilidad avanzada):

1. Se indicara a los alumnos que grafiquen en el plano cartesiano la ecuación , (parábola), usando el recurso de tabulación por división sintética en un dominio restringido .
2. Se instruirá al alumno para programar el algoritmo de división sintética en una hoja de cálculo.
3. Se presentaran las diferentes alternativas para codificar una función en la barra de formula de una hoja de cálculo.
4. Se mostrara como usando la herramienta del cursor se puede generar columnas de datos el método recursivo automático que permiten las hojas de cálculo.
5. Se analizara el significado de cada columna de numérica obtenida; y de cada elemento en la división sintética.
6. Se construirán parejas ordenadas que representan puntos que pertenecen a la grafica a partir de los divisores y el residuo en la tabulación generada por división sintética.
7. Se mostrará la manera de usar el asistente de gráficos y como generar una grafica de dispersión.
8. Se darán las instrucciones para que el alumno aprenda a editar gráficos.
a) Modificar ejes y escalas.
b) Modificar tipos de letra.
c) Modificar los marcadores que indican puntos en el gráfico.
d) Editar colores.
e) Agregar fondos e imágenes en el grafico.

9. Se enseñara el procedimiento para que la grafica generada sea copiada, cortada o pegar con diferentes formato y pueda ser usada en documentos *.doc, *.ppt o vincularse con otras documento *.xls.
10. Se mostrara la edición de la gráfica a través de la modificación de la series de datos.

ICT in High Schools

I think that is a general idea over our proyect to start the use of Information and Communication Technologies in the classroom of our school, but is interesting know the view point of education researchers in other places. I recommend reviewing the entire text and maybe we can share some thoughts on it in future forums.

Placing technology in schools and mandating an ICT program of studies is not enough to enable teachers and students to acquire the skills and proficiencies to use them effectively (Breuleux, 2001). Current research points to knowledge-building collaborations to provide further insight into effective ICT use in high schools. It is Breuleux’s contention that ICT can, indeed, support more powerful and complete knowledge-building experiences for learners “if we integrate well-designed technologies in the context of meaningful, mindful inquiry projects, non-presentational pedagogies, access to resources and tools, and adequate support for technological maintenance and pedagogical renewal” (Breuleux, 2001, p. 3).


At present, most of the institutional structures of high schools meet the demands of an industrial age. Timetables fragment students’ days into identical blocks; students make the transition from one discrete subject to another without serious attempts to integrate subject disciplines into multidimensional studies; teaching effectiveness is strongly tied to students’ performance on standardized tests; and teachers work in isolation from one another. The result is that students do not often find that schoolwork gives them the opportunity to engage in robust, interesting, and personally meaningful inquiries. Students generally report dissatisfaction with transmissionist approaches to learning. (Baines & Stanley, 2003; Bowlby & McMullen, 2002; Cushman, 2003; Intrator, 2003). Conversely, learning that uses technology to involve students in real-life circumstances, concerns, and interests, and that respects students as true partners in formulating topics, processes, and assessment practices have been seen to be engaging and worthwhile (Baines & Stanley, 2003; Sizer, 1984, 1992, 1996).

The initiative described in this report specifically addresses issues of how technology can be used to create more engaging learning experiences for high school students, and how teachers can be supported to make changes to their teaching practice that permit the design and implementation of technology-enhanced experiences for learning. In particular, the initiative explores what happens when teachers move to more inquiry based teaching that includes the use of technology in innovative and intriguing ways.
